Myst. Limited Edition Art Print Box Set

This beautiful limited edition Myst art print box features 5 fine art quality giclee prints from original Myst game art. The box and prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity that is hand-signed by Myst's co-creator Rand Miller.

The graphic adventure and puzzle game Myst released in 1994 is one of the all time game classics. The game puts the player in the role of the Stranger, who uses a special book to travel to the island of Myst. There, the player uses other special books written by an artisan and explorer named Atrus to travel to several worlds known as "Ages". Clues found in each of these Ages help to reveal the back-story of the game's character and its ending.

Upon release, Myst was a surprise break-out hit. Critics lauded the ability of the game to immerse players in its fictional world. The game and it's sequel Riven went on to sell millions of copies. Myst was the best-selling PC game for almost a decade until 2002 and helped to drive adoption of the then-nascent CD-ROM format. It was CD-ROMS first so-called 'killer application'. Myst's success spawned four direct video game sequels that appeared on Macs, PC, console and mobile as well as several spin-off games and novels.

Myst is also among the first 14 video games selected by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for their design collection and Myst was included in the "Art of Video Games" exhibit at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and several other museum exhibitions.

Rand Miller and his studio Cyan are currently working on a completely new adventure game called Obduction that releases in 2016 and will be playable in Virtual Reality.

Cyan, Inc. is an American video game developer, founded by brothers Rand and Robyn Miller in 1987. They are best known as the creators of the Myst universe and game series. Myst and its sequel Riven sold several million copies each and Myst was the best selling PC game ever for almost a decade.
