Ranni The Witch

'Ranni The Witch' is official concept artwork for ELDEN RING. This limited-edition Certified Art Giclée™ print is part of the official ELDEN RING fine art collection by Cook and Becker, FromSoftware, Inc., and Bandai Namco Entertainment Ltd. The work is hand-numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

ELDEN RING is an action role-playing game by Japanese studio FromSoftware, Inc., released in 2022. Helmed by famed game director Hidetaka Miyazaki, and with narrative support from Game of Thrones-author George R.R. Martin, ELDEN RING was a runaway success for FromSoftware, Inc., and Bandai Namco Entertainment Ltd.

In the game, players take on a role as "Tarnished", and traverse the large open world of the Lands Between to repair the ELDEN RING, and become the Elden Lord. To do so, they have to deal with a healthy number of monsters and demigods, who roam the land and lay claim to the ELDEN RING and its power.

Reviewers of the game were generous in their praise, lauding both the challenging combat (a keystone of every FromSoftware, Inc. game, including the DARK SOULS games) and the open world setup, a first for FromSoftware, Inc. games. Dividing game time between exploring and fighting was seen as an interesting mix, making fights optional when a player did not feel they had reached the right level for a boss fight.

Other reviewers praised the art style, which is several hues brighter than earlier FromSoftware, Inc. games, and the general narrative, with some pundits going as far as calling ELDEN RING "an instant classic."
