We launch campaigns to fund and produce ambitious projects that would be difficult for us—as a small business—to create on our own. When you back a project by making a pre-order purchase, your contribution helps us reach the funding or pre-order goal required to bring it to life.
Campaign purchases (indicated by a progress bar on the product page) are "made to order." Once a campaign reaches its goal, we begin incurring production costs.
Important points:
Your support contributes directly to the funding or pre-order target needed to produce the project. Your payment will therefore be immediately processed when placing a pre-order or backing a project
If a project does not reach its goal, you will receive a full refund.
Once a project has reached its goal, you may still cancel your order during the campaign period and receive a partial refund.
After the campaign period ends, no refunds are possible.
Kratos fighting the Hydra
A collaboration worthy of the Gods! To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of God of War, art gallery Cook and Becker has partnered with Santa Monica Studio and legendary fantasy artists Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell to create an all-new original painting of the Ghost of Sparta: Kratos fighting the Hydra!
Known for their timeless depictions of gods, warriors, and mythical creatures, Boris and Julie's art has defined the visual language of fantasy for more than half a century—from Conan the Barbarian to Tarzan to Barbarella and Marvel. They're the perfect artistic duo to reimagine one of gaming's most powerful icons.
For this collaboration, the husband-and-wife team will create an entirely new oil painting that captures Kratos in all his fury— a god at war with both his enemies and his own past. Their signature hyper-real style, blending oil painting mastery with emotional intensity, elevates the Spartan’s saga to the level of classical myth. This is God of War envisioned through the lens of fantasy’s most celebrated artists.
To help make this incredible project happen, we need your support! This project becomes a reality once the funding goal has been reached. The final painting will be reproduced in 3 types of editions:
