Pedro Cobiaco
Pedro Cobiaco is a Brazilian illustrator and comic artist, born on September 17, 1996. His work is characterized by a dynamic style that combines influences from graffiti, manga, and classic comic art. He is especially known for his expressive characters, vibrant color palettes, and the use of watercolor and ink.
Cobiaco began his career at a young age. At 14, he published weekly comics in the children's supplement of the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo. In 2013, he released his first graphic novel, Harmatã, which was republished by Mino in 2014. This publication earned him the 26th Troféu HQ Mix in the category "New Talent (Writer)." In 2015, he released Aventuras na Ilha do Tesouro, which was awarded the Grampo de Ouro as "Best Brazilian Comic" that same year.
Internationally, Cobiaco has collaborated with renowned publishers such as DC Comics, Titan Books, and Fantagraphics Books. His work appears in titles such as Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham and Joker: Absolute Universe.
